New York City is home to the hottest salsa night clubs, so if you’re craving for some fun check the calendar and take part of free salsa lessons or never-ending Latin parties with live bands and people from all over practicing their moves. Whether you are a beginner or advanced dancer, performer or instructor, you’ll be pleased visiting anyone of the clubs in this list that we have gathered.

1. Gonzalez y Gonzalez

A Mexican restaurant during the day, a salsa saloon during the night. This Greenwich Village club offers live music from Tuesdays through Sundays, however it is open daily for you to dance the night away and have some drinks to celebrate. Don’t miss the happy hour from 4 to 8 pm to try margaritas, sangrias and the house special, the Blue Lui. If you’re an amateur, take part in Thursdays’ free lessons starting at 9 pm so you can show off like a pro on the dance floor.

2. Club Cache

Known as the Mecca of Bachata in NYC, this nightclub hosts the largest Bachata Party every Friday from 9:30 pm to 4 am with more than 450 dancers and the best music, an awesome experience for all kinds of people, from beginners to performers. On Saturdays, you can enjoy a Latin Mix starting at 9 pm with a free salsa class, ladies enter free before midnight! They’re also famous for Cache Salsa Thursdays for you to practice some moves. The best thing is that the dress code is casual, so prepare to dance your socks off.

3. Iguana

An incredible Mexican restaurant in Midtown transformed into a dance lounge at night, welcoming people to enjoy mixed music in the lower level and a latin club upstairs, featuring the hottest salsa, merengue and bachata music. Take advantage of the free salsa and bachata lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm. Everyone free on Sundays and till 9 pm on Fridays, ladies never pay a cover charge! Put on your best clothes and head to this spectacular place for dinner, then stay to move your body all night long.

4. Copacabana

Since 1940, this night club has offered the best parties and hosted concerts from renowned artists. Every Tuesday from 9 pm to 2 am you can enjoy salsa music like no other place in the rooftop 760, they also invite live bands to spice up the night. On Saturdays there’s a latin mix with salsa, merengue, bachata and more on the Copa Lounge, besides free entry all night!

5. SOB’S

An abbreviation of Sounds of Brazil, this is the place to go if you want to experience the greatest live music concerts, not for nothing it has greeted legends like Marc Anthony and Celia Cruz. This venue located in SoHo hosts Friday Salsa Night the last Friday of the month featuring live music, DJ, dance show and dance lessons. It also displays shows with Latin music, Haitian, Brazilian, Caribbean, R&B and World music.
